Nick Tasooji is a Certified Public Account with a strong background in mergers and acquisitions and more than 24 years of experience serving in a wide variety of national and multinational public and privately-held commercial enterprises. Private equity experience includes his current position, partner for The Yucaipa Companies LLC of Los Angeles, California, since 1998.

At Yucaipa, he employed tax techniques as a strategic tool to maximize the internal rate of return on portfolio investments. He has been a key figure in merger and acquisition activities with Dominick’s Finer Foods, Smith’s Food and Drug, Ralph’s Grocery Company, Fred Meyer, Golden State Foods and Alliance Entertainment.

Previous public accounting experience includes employment at Deloitte & Touche, Arthur Andersen, KPMG Peat Marwick and Oppenheim, Appel, Dixon & Co.

He holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Business Taxation, Master of Business Administration and Master of Art in Economics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
